Naua Naua Lodge Namibia August 2011

After Anderson Camp we headed towards Naua Naua Game Farm (24.000 ha) where we stayed for two nights.
This was a great Lodge where the owners Stefan and Daniela have done a splendid job hosting all their guest with great warmth. The Lodge  (http://www.nauanaua.com)  has a lot of game as well as cheetahs. The first evening we went for a cheetah feeding with a marvelous sun downer with champagne and home made Biltong.

The Cheetahs coming for their dinner

These Cheetahs have been rescued after their mother has been shot by farmers. They cannot
be put back into the wild since they have been raised by humans.

 After a heavy meal

very satisfied

This is not a cheetah....
Since my mother could not take care of us, Daniela and her family are raising us.  We are allowed to eat from the vegetable garden where we really enjoy the broccoli and fresh salads.....

At the Salt Pan

Lion in  Ongava. We stayed in Andreson's Camp and spotted with Frans our guide a lion during our nightdrive at one of the waterholes. Anderson's camp is a lovely place which was certainly one of our highlights in Namibia. The whole wildlife concept for sustainable eco tourism is an example for a successfull way of joining nature with society. We had the most warm treat by the staff.

We spent last weekend on the island Texel in the North of the Netherlands.

SEGNI, ITALY

I am staying a few days in Italy. Here some shots of SEGNI a typical old Roman Village South of Rome. The weather is very nice and you can see the Apennine mountains with snow on the tops. In the valley it is mostly a little bit misty.

Furthermore the food and the wine are just exellent. No comment, it is just heaven!!!

Of course in Segni you see also some beautiful cats
